I learned about this remedy many years ago. It is one of my favorites. 


  • Equal parts Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey
  • 8.0 oz warm water

It can be 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon of each.


Start with a teaspoon of each if you are afraid of the taste of the vinegar.

I prefer using the apple cider vinegars that have the “mother” in them. However, I have gotten the same results with regular supermarket apple cider vinegar.

The acidity of the vinegar is balanced by the sweetness of the honey.

These 2 ingredients are supportive of the immune system.

When to take

At the first sign of sore throat, e.g., dryness in throat, pain when swallowing, I drink this. Sometimes I make a second batch and drink several hours later.


Do not give honey to children less than 12 months old.

Do not take this if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
